Have had the rain gauge for many years. Was delighted to find the replacement parts and particularly needed the sponge. The kit had everything needed along with excellent video instructions. Now all I need is some rain in AZ!!
I have this rain gauge, but mine came with in plastic, not copper. I had bought one of these for a friend and it was copper and I liked it much better. So I ordered the copper one and it also fits better in the holder.
This is a little tight when placing it in the tube, but it will go in and fit nicely.

This really is the coolest and longest lasting rain gauge you can own. One will last a lifetime because real copper doesn't rust or decompose. I let the plastic measurement float freeze with water in it and it broke. But getting a new one that is the perfect replacement was easy. I’m delighted to have my gauge working again. The new foam was simple to install, and Voila! We’re measuring again. We’ve had this for many years and still love it. (Every now and then I polish the copper, which picks it and me up a bit, too.)
Our replacement tube arrived quickly. It hasn't rained yet, but it seems to be measuring our sprinkler output just fine.

This was just what we needed: something to add to the beauty of our perennial bed and not be something you have to look past. Made in the USA was important to us and the craftsmanship was a bonus. It’s Like an art piece, with easy to see readings . We have had it for several years and the foam part finally disintegrated . I was happy to find that we could replace the insert instead of the whole gauge. We received it fast, in good condition .
