We received the rain gauge as a gift. The gauge is easy to read when measuring rain. Once you know the amount of rainfall,it is easy to clear out the water and start all over again. It stays in the ground and the body of the gauge is solid copper so it can be safe in all types of weather, snow and rain. I just purchased one for a good friend to put in her flower and vegetable garden.
I have had my rain gauge for years. Very reliable. The replacement tube is great and even better than the old one. Numbers are very visible from a distance.

3" Foam Repair Kit For Our Floating Rain Gauge Tubes
I wish I'd known about this kit years ago. The replacement blue foam and glue tube were easy to use and now my gauge is floating properly and measuring the rain perfectly. And there's a second foam waiting for the next time I need it.

Didn’t get the repair kit as shown. I was sent a replacement blue glass and foam insert. I really wanted the two foam replacements and sealant. Too much trouble to return it.

Originally bought my gauge years ago and the foam broke down over time. Ordered the replacement tube with foam and am super happy. Works just like new and the numbers are now printed a lot larger, and I can read the gauge from inside my house. Highly recommend this to keep your coolest gauge happy for years to come.
After more than Twenty Years of faithfully gauging rainfall, the original blue tube has been retired. This new tube slides PERFECLY into my original weathered copper sleeve! No manufacturer honors their legacy quite as well as this. You guys rock!!
I was unable to push the foam all the way into the tube. About 1/8” remains below tube, therefore I am not confident the readings will be accurate.
I’ve had this rain gauge for over 5 years. Excellent quality. The replacement parts fit like a glove 🧤. I expect to get 5 more years of enjoyable service. If you leave some water in the guage hummingbirds will use it for a perch & lookout 🫡 point for their feeder.
The replacement kit came very quickly. The installation directions were a little confusing. It said to put the glue on the inside of the tube before inserting the foam. After putting the glue on the foam only went in about 2 inches before getting stuck in the glue. I could not push it in any farther or pull it out. After much effort I pulled it out, let the glue dry and tried to insert the foam again. It’s very difficult. I have it all in but the last quarter inch.

I've owned 2 World's Coolest Rain Gauge's for several years now and they're wonderful. They are a bit pricey (but, what's not these days?) but the fact that I can get replacement parts makes them more affordable.
And this rain gauge is DEFINITELY aptly named.
